Ms. Riquette Bonne-Smith, Executive Director
Riquette Bonne-Smith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and English Literature and a Master’s Degree in French Language and Literature from Santa Barbara. Mrs. Bonne-Smith’s career as an educator spans over two decades, locally and abroad. She has taught at the elementary, high school, and university levels, including teaching at the Bermuda College for 12 years. Ms. Bonne-Smith speaks French, English, Italian and Spanish. She is the founder and Executive Director of the Bermuda International Languages and Arts Institute, and of The Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Bermuda in affiliation with Johns Hopkins University. Mrs. Bonne Smith also served as the President of the Alliance Française for 6 years, and she received a knighthood from the French Government (Chevalière dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques). Riquette’s passion for education has taken her to many countries including Israel as the guest of the Ministry of Education to learn about their gifted and talented educational program. She serves as the Bank of Bermuda Foundation Education Committee, and she was appointed to be a board member of Johns Hopkins University’s CTY.
